


{"id":15501,"date":"2015-10-14T14:47:21","date_gmt":"2015-10-14T13:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rayner.com\/ca\/blog\/customer-service-in-focus-at-rayner\/"},"modified":"2021-12-03T16:08:24","modified_gmt":"2021-12-03T16:08:24","slug":"customer-service-in-focus-at-rayner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rayner.com\/ca\/customer-service-in-focus-at-rayner\/","title":{"rendered":"Customer service in focus at Rayner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Enhancing the customer journey was a strong motivation for the transformation of Rayner\u2019s Customer Service function over the last 12 months, so the recent \u2018National Customer Service Week\u2019 official event provided an excellent opportunity for the new team to show the rest of the Company what they\u2019re doing to improve customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>Staff from various departments across the business were invited to spend an afternoon \u2018in the shoes of a Rayner Customer Service Team member\u2019. Representatives from Marketing, Regulatory, Finance and Human Resources \u2013 even the company CFO Darren Millington \u2013 immersed themselves in one of the key customer service roles and processed an IOL order from \u2018order received,\u2019 through to picking and then shipment. The posts around these activities received strong engagement on the company\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RaynerIOL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter feed<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>\u2018In addition to showing staff \u2018what we do\u2019, we also wanted to use the opportunity to encourage Rayner staff to think about their own role, and what they can do to improve customer satisfaction. Customer Service is at its best when there is strong team work not only within the Customer Service Department but with the surrounding departments as well, as all parts of the business affect the Customer Service experience,\u2019 commented Sue Wheatley, Customer Service Manager at Rayner.<\/p>\n<p>In a global, fast-paced business like Rayner, a cohesive and capable Customer Service Team is crucial.
