Rayner\u2019s most technologically advanced IOL<\/strong>
\nThe Sulcoflex Trifocal combines Rayner\u2019s pseudophakic supplementary Sulcoflex platform — designed to be implanted in the ciliary sulcus and with over ten years of successful outcomes — with the patented trifocal optic technology of the recently launched RayOne Trifocal IOL.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the launch, Rayner CEO, Tim Clover, said: \u2018\u2019Almost as soon as we launched the\u00a0RayOne Trifocal<\/a>\u00a0last year, surgeons were asking when it would be available in the Sulcoflex platform. Not only does this offer an upgrade to the latest trifocality for previous cataract patients but also an adjustable, personalised duet procedure for new patients when combined with RayOne Aspheric or RayOne Toric\u201d.<\/p>\n

First implantations already under way<\/strong>
\nOn 30th July 2018, Professor Michael Amon, MD, Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Hospital of St. John, Vienna, Austria and\u00a0inventor of the Sulcoflex IOL Family in collaboration with Rayner R&D<\/a>, performed the first implantation of Sulcoflex Trifocal.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the surgery, he said: \u201cThe surgery of the first Trifocal Supplementary IOL went smoothly; implantation was controlled with very good IOL-centration.\u201d

\nOne month follow-up data to be presented at the 2018 ESCRS in Vienna
