Rayner today announced the power range expansion of its RayOne EMV Toric<\/strong> increased range of focus intraocular lens (IOL), with spherical equivalent (SE) powers now extending to +30 D<\/strong>. Driven by surgeon collaboration, the enhanced range broadens access to the popular lens for higher hyperopic patients with astigmatism.<\/p>\n

Developed with world-renowned ophthalmologist Professor Graham Barrett, the RayOne EMV platform is US FDA-approved, with close to 1,000,000 lenses shipped globally since its 2020 launch.
\nFeaturing a non-diffractive optic that uniquely leverages positive spherical aberration, RayOne EMV delivers up to 1.5 D of increased range of focus (or up to 2.25 D if using monovision, for which it is uniquely suitable) while maintaining monofocal levels of contrast sensitivity and dysphotopsia performance.1-5 The lens is particularly well suited to patients seeking a greater visual range than a standard monofocal, but who may not be ideal candidates for a full range of focus IOL.<\/p>\n

Increasing the upper SE limit from +25.0 D to +30.0 D aligns the Toric range with the wider RayOne EMV portfolio, enabling surgeons to offer a seamless, single-platform approach across a broader range of patients.<\/p>\n
