1. The Information We Gather

Information supplied by or about users of the Rayner Site is gathered by us and for us. Information not gathered directly by us is gathered via a contracted third party (“Service Provider”) on our behalf. The Service Provider is a registered data controller. The Service Provider uses a number of security measures including Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software which encrypts and ensures the security of any information you input using the Site. The Service Provider is based in the United Kingdom.

The following information is gathered in two ways, directly and indirectly:-

Although cookies do not hold personal information about you they are unique to each user of the Rayner Site so that the Site computers can distinguish between users. We use session or transient cookies which are stored in your computer’s memory for the length of your browsing session. They become inaccessible after the session had been inactive for a time and are automatically deleted from your computer when the browser is closed. Session cookies allow you to move from page to page without having to log in repeatedly.

We may supply some of the information to a Rayner appointed distributor but only to the extent necessary to ensure we can provide you with the information, services or products you request from us. Our Service Provider may have access to the information in order to perform its functions but may not use it for any other purpose.

If you register with us and use Raytrace for the purposes of ordering lenses we will provide for the storage and retrieval of your personal data in connection with the use of the calculator.
